Because of the Chinese Online Firewall, Mainland Chinese has no access to mainstream social media such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Wikipedia. I won’t talk on the political reasons why Chinese can’t get access to the social media we are familiar, because that’s not my problem, or that I could solve that under any circumstances. However this doesn’t mean Chinese Internet users are not savvy about social media. This neither means there aren’t business opportunities in Chinese social media. This blog is about different social media platforms in China and how can we use it.

This blog wants to explore and discuss the possibilities and tactics about Chinese social media. On this site, we’ll explore different Chinese social media platforms; what’s so special about them and how can we use them to communicate with Chinese people or organizations.
